WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STRAIGHT THROUGH AND CROSSOVER CABLE?

What is the difference between Straight Through and Crossover Cable? When talking about cable pinouts we often get questions as to the difference in Straight-through, and Crossover cables and the intended use for each type of cable. These terms are referring to the way the cables are wired (which pin on one end is connected to which pin on the other end). T568A and T568B Wiring Standard Basis A RJ45 connector is a modular 8 position, 8 pin connector used for terminating Cat5e or Cat6 twisted pair cable. A pinout is a specific arrangement of wires that dictate how the connector is terminated. There are two standards recognized by ANSI, TIA and EIA for wiring Ethernet cables. The first is the T568A wiring standard and the second is T568B. T568B has surpassed 568A and is seen as the default wiring scheme for twisted pair structured cabling. If you are unsure of which to use, choose 568B. What Is Straight Through Cable? A straight through cable is a type of twisted pair cabl...

WHAT IS A NETWORK IP ADDRESS?

WHAT IS A NETWORK IP ADDRESS? W hat? You don't know what an IP address is used for? Don't worry. Most of the billions of computer users don't know either, and to tell you the truth, that's perfectly alright. Because even though it's your passport to the Internet, you never have to think about it. Here's a "pocket definition" that you can use if someone asked. "It's a network address for your computer so the Internet knows where to send you emails, data and pictures of cats." That puts you way ahead of the curve. In fact, 98% of people on computers right now don't know what an IP address even looks like. Let me explain. Show and tell It always helps to see an IP address example. Let's see yours.  Here it is: 120.29.123.34 Don't get too attached. It's not permanent—you'll find out why in a bit... But for now, somehow you found your way to this website and page about the "IP address." And ...

WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF CABLE?

WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF CABLE?+ Cables are classified into 5 types depending upon their purpose as follows: Ribbon Electric Cables It consists of multiple insulated wires running parallel with one another and are used for transmission of multiple data simultaneously. For example, this is used to connect the CPU with the motherboard and are generally used for interconnection of networking devices. Shielded Cables It consists of 1 or 2 insulated wires which are covered by a woven braided shield or aluminium Mylar foil for better signal transmission and removing irregularities in the frequency of power and external interference in radio. These cables transmit high voltage electric current and are protected by a shield. Twisted Pair Cables It has two or more insulated copper wires which are twisted with each other and are colour-coded. These types of wires are usually used in telephone cables and the resistance to external interference...
